What?! when... where!?
For those who came in late, this is no joke. If you loved reading about his amazing exploits between pages of ink and paper & thrilled at his spectacular agility on the boob tube and silver screen. Prepare for the next sensation: Spider Man the musical aka Spider Man: turn off the dark, a one of a kind number that will grace the glitz and glamor of Broadway and definitely pique the curiosity of fanboy/girl & comic aficionado alike.
But for those who weren't late to the party, earlier reports of the $40+ million (the most expensive production to date) musical hanging dry financially have been positively turned around with word that the productionl is now a swinging full steam ahead.
Equally confirmed by actor Alan Cummings, who will play Spidey's bane The Green Goblin. The musical will star "Across The Universe" alumni Jim Sturgess & Evan Rachel Wood as the web slinger Spider Man/Peter Parker & Mary Jane Watson respectively.
And if you didn't think it get's any better than that or musicals just mean boring & laud. Spidey will be belting it to the lyrics & tunes of U2's Bono and The Edge, who are exclusive writers and music scribes to the Marvel broadway production.
